Heather Watkins

Heather Watkins currently serves as the Director of Content Strategy and Operations at the American College of Chest Physicians, having progressed from Senior Manager to Manager in that organization since May 2020. Previously, Heather held the position of Communications Manager at The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, where responsibilities included overseeing a quarterly newsletter and managing editorial content for annual meetings. Prior experience includes serving as Health Editor at About.com, where Heather managed a health channel and oversaw content for multiple platforms, and Assistant Editor at Men's Health magazine, focusing on health and lifestyle research. Heather's early career included internships at Midwest Living magazine and Men's Health, alongside a BA in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Iowa.
