Director CEDR Implementation & Product Innovation at American College of Emergency Physicians

Conrad Smit, PMP has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. Conrad is currently the Co-Founder of NewWay Insight, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, Conrad served as the Director of CEDR Implementation & Product Innovation at the American College of Emergency Physicians from June 2018.

In 2018, Conrad was actively seeking new opportunities and held the role of Project Management Professional, where they focused on PMO development, strategic planning, and process re-engineering.

From 2014 to 2018, Conrad worked at Iatric Systems as the Director of Project Management Services. In this role, they provided vision and leadership for the Software Project Management group and developed a PMO to align project management with organizational strategic direction.

Before that, Conrad was a Technical Project Manager at Net.Orange, Inc (A NANTHealth company) from May 2013 to November 2014. Conrad managed large development projects and implemented Population Health Management and ACO Care management software.

From 2009 to 2013, Conrad was the VP of Project Management at empowersystems. Conrad led a team of clinical implementation consultants and created project management and product support infrastructure for new integrated product implementation.

Conrad began their career at The Shams Group (TSG) in 2001, where they served as a Product/Project Manager. Conrad established a product management group and implemented project management methodologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiencies.

Throughout their career, Conrad has demonstrated expertise in project management, PMO development, strategic planning, and process improvement. Conrad has a track record of successfully managing large technology deployments and system conversions.

Conrad Smit, PMP, has an education background in information technology. Conrad attended Tshwane University of Technology where they studied information technology. Further, they enrolled in the Van Zyl & Pritchard IT Training College's Computer programmer and System Analyst Graduate Program. Additionally, Conrad obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2012.
