Xander Sobecki, MPA, CAE, currently serves as the Communications Manager for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, having previously held the position of Marketing and Communications Manager at the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons from 2021 to 2023. Xander's extensive experience includes a role as Digital Content Developer for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons from 2017 to 2021, where responsibilities included creating and analyzing digital publications related to neurosurgery. Earlier positions involved managing e-blast marketing operations and coordinating newsletters for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and administrative work in the Village of Oswego. Xander's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration focused on Nonprofit Management from Indiana University Bloomington, along with several graduate and undergraduate degrees from Northern Illinois University in communications, sociology, and studies in China and Southeast Asia.

The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) is the professional society of more than 8,000 foot and ankle surgeons. Founded in 1942, ACFAS seeks to promote the art and science of foot, ankle and related lower extremity surgery; address the concerns of foot and ankle surgeons; ensure superb patient care; and advance and improve standards of education and surgical skill. ACFAS Fellow members are board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
