With extensive experience in leadership roles, Medina was the Medical Staff President at Franklin Woods Community Hospital and has been a contributing member and chairperson of various committees, including the High Value Care Committee at Ballad Health. As a shareholder and executive member of Mountain Empire Radiology, Medina has influenced strategic planning and operational excellence. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Duke University.
