Miguel Paniagua, MD, FACP, FAAHPM serves as the Vice President of Medical Education at the American College of Physicians since July 2022 and holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine since December 2015. Previously, Miguel Paniagua was Associate Vice President for Assessment Operations & Medical Education at the National Board of Medical Examiners from July 2014 to July 2022 and served as a representative for the Global Forum on Health Professions Education from 2015 to 2022. Miguel Paniagua's earlier roles include Associate Professor at Saint Louis University and Assistant Professor at the University of Miami, where responsibilities encompassed directing residency and clerkship programs. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and advanced certificates in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine from the University of Washington, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and History from Saint Louis University.
