Ben Stevenson is an experienced correctional and rehabilitation professional currently serving as the Director of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, responsible for developing and evaluating policies and programs related to incarceration and community integration. Since May 2006, Ben has also served as an Auditor for the American Correctional Association, assessing various correctional facilities for national accreditation. Previously, Ben held several senior management roles within the Montgomery County Government, culminating in the position of Division Chief of Community Corrections, where oversight of Pre-Release Center operations took place. Additionally, Ben has academic experience as an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland University College, teaching criminal justice courses, and served in the US Marine Corps Reserves as a Lance Corporal. Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Justice from Penn State University and two Master's Degrees from the University of Maryland Global Campus, one in Education and another in Distance Education and Training.
