Howard Carlton

Howard Carlton is a seasoned professional in mental health and correctional healthcare with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Registered Nurse at the South West Virginia Mental Health Institute since September 2022, Howard has also held positions such as Auditor for the American Correctional Association since June 2002 and Regional Manager for MEDIKO from March 2021 to September 2022. Previous roles include Health Services Administrator at Mediko Correctional Healthcare and Warden for the Tennessee Department of Correction, where Howard served for 22 years and also contributed as an instructor at the Tennessee Correction Academy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from David Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from East Tennessee State University.
