Andrew Melnyk, Ph.D., CBE™ has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Andrew has held positions such as Chief Economist and Vice President of Research at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), where they dramatically increased the prominence and productivity of the Research Department. Andrew also played a key role in ACLI's DOL Fiduciary Rule working group.
In addition, Andrew Melnyk has served as an Affiliate Professor at Loyola University Maryland, a Senior Economic Analyst at Devtech Systems, and a Research Economist at ERS Group. Andrew has also been Chair of the Department of Economics at The American University in Cairo, where they were responsible for various administrative tasks and consistently received excellent teaching evaluations as an Assistant Professor of Economics.
Furthermore, Andrew Melnyk has worked as a Principal Investigator at the Egyptian-Swiss Development Fund, an Economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce, a Course Instructor/Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant at the University of Miami, a Visiting Instructor at the American Institute of Business and Economics, and a Short-term Consultant at MDRC.

Andrew Melnyk, Ph.D., CBE™ has an extensive education history in the field of economics. Andrew completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics at the University of Illinois Chicago, from 1982 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, graduating in 1993.
Driven by a passion for research and further specialization, Andrew continued their academic journey at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics in 1997.
Additionally, Andrew has obtained valuable certifications to expand their knowledge and expertise. In 2016, they became a Certified Business Economist™ through the National Association of Business Economists (NABE). Furthermore, in 2019, they completed the Certificate in Machine Learning and Data Science for Economists program offered by the National Association of Business Economists (NABE).
