Maria Palacios

Maria Palacios has extensive experience in human resources, with their latest role being Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) starting in 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director, Human Resources at ACLI since 1994. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting, selecting, and retaining high caliber employees, monitoring staffing needs, and overseeing job analysis/design and compensation. Maria also worked as a Sr. Staff Assistant at the American Beverage Association from 1990 to 1994.

Maria Palacios has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland, which they obtained from 1986 to 1990. Maria later pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1994 to 1996.
