Neelam Sakaria

Neelam directly supports renewable energy companies owned and operated by women and people of color, advancing ACORE’s commitment to social and economic justice as part of the transition to a renewable energy future.

Prior to joining ACORE, Neelam was an independent consultant supporting new initiatives focused on civic health and entrepreneurship. She has also served as Chief of Staff at New Public and led investment efforts at Echoing Green, a leading incubator for emerging social entrepreneurs.

Neelam holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a Master's in Public Affairs from the Watson Institute at Brown University, where she focused on decarbonization and environmental justice.
