Jennifer Scully-Thurston

Jennifer Scully-Thurston is an experienced professional in the dance and arts sector, currently serving as the Manager of Studio Programs and Community Engagement at the American Dance Festival since November 2021. As Festival Director for FilmFest by Rogue Dancer, Jennifer oversees a dance film festival that curates monthly online screenings dedicated to dance cinema. Previously, Jennifer worked as Program Manager and Development and Administrative Associate at NC Arts in Action, focusing on using dance and music to teach life skills to children. Jennifer has a background in production and coordination, having held roles such as Director & Producer at From Scully Hands Production and Production Coordinator at CORE Performance Company. Jennifer's writing has been recognized with the Dance Critics Association's Gary Parks emerging writer award in 2011, and an educational background includes a Master's degree in P.E. and Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University and a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
