Joel Jansen

Joel Jansen is a seasoned executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Regulated Commercial Operations and Senior Vice President of Energy Assets at American Electric Power since July 2021. Jansen has a strong background in strategic execution and optimizing financial, physical, and operational functions across various energy assets. Prior to this role, leadership positions included Chief Operating Officer at AEP OnSite Partners, Vice President at Trillium CNG and WPS Power Development, as well as involvement in risk and supply management at Integrys Energy Services. Jansen's educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
