James Akins

James Akins has extensive experience in the electrical industry, having worked at American Electrical Testing Co. as a Transformer Tech since September 2016. Prior to this role, James served as the Foreman for electrical distribution repairs at PPL Corporation from April 1968 to July 2016, where responsibilities included repairing power transformers, circuit reclosers, and electronic controls, as well as overseeing smart grid operations. James also held the position of System Operator during that time. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Industrial Electricity and Electronics from Penn State Allentown, completed between 1978 and 1980.
