Annie Mac Sandlin currently serves as an International Administrator at the Association of Energy Engineers since August 2023. Previous experience includes roles as Office Manager at LawnSouth and Beach Coordinator and Events Operations at Rally Volleyball. Additionally, Annie held positions as a Special Events Intern with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and a Recreation Leader II at Johns Creek Recreation & Parks. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University and participation as a Division 1 student athlete on the women's volleyball team at Winthrop University. Other notable positions include Tournament Director at Rally Volleyball, intern at League Golf Inc, and coach at North Atlanta Volleyball Club.

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a nonprofit professional society of over 17,000 members in 100 countries. The mission of AEE is “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for sustainable development.” AEE offers a full array of informational outreach programs including certification programs, conferences, journals, books, and training programs. AEE's network of 100 local chapters meets regularly to discuss regional issues. AEE's roster of corporate members is a veritable “who's who” from the commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, energy services, and utility sectors.
