Buster Barksdale

Buster Barksdale has an extensive work experience spanning over several years and roles. Buster is currently serving as the President of the Association of Energy Engineers since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of CEO at CoGen Power Solutions, where they developed and financed small Cogeneration Projects. Buster joined CoGen Power Solutions in June 2012 and stayed with the company till the present time. Before that, they worked as the Senior VP at Primary Integration Energy from 2005 to 2012. From 2001 to 2005, they served as the Senior Program Manager at SAIC. Their experience also includes working as the Director Energy Services at The Louis Berger Group in the year 2000 and as the Chief Readiness Division at Air Force from 1994 to 1997.

Buster Barksdale obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University from 1973 to 1978. Buster later pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Oklahoma, although the exact years of their enrollment are unknown. In addition to their educational background, Buster has also obtained certifications such as Certified Demand-Side Management Professional (CDSM), Certified Energy Manager, Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP), Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP), and LEED Associate from various institutions including the Association of Energy Engineers, DOE, and USGBC.
