Anas Al-Asmar is a Senior Technical Advisor for Energy Management and Energy Efficiency at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, working on the Energy Efficient Water Sector project since November 2021. Anas supports water supply companies in implementing energy management systems based on ISO 50001, enhancing energy and water data management, and conducting energy reviews and audits. With extensive experience as a trainer for Certified Energy Manager and Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional programs, Anas has previously served as Key Expert for Energy Audit at GFA Consulting Group GmbH, focusing on improving the Jordanian water sector’s energy management system. Having held various roles, including Technical Manager and Senior Energy Engineer at ECO Engineering and Energy Solutions, Anas has a strong background in energy management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Anas holds a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Jordan.
