Michael Heath

President SW Ohio AEE at Association of Energy Engineers

Michael Heath started their work experience in 1985 as a Medical Specialist in the Ohio Army National Guard Recruiting, where they worked until 1991. In 1989, they joined Duke Energy Corporation and held the position of Sr. Account Executive. Additionally, they worked as a Business Development professional at Cinergy from 1990 to 2004. In 2001, they became the President of SW Ohio AEE at the Association of Energy Engineers. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, they served as the Regional Vice President at the Association of Energy Engineers.

Michael Heath attended the University of Cincinnati from 1984 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Environmental Engineering. Prior to their university education, Michael attended Archbishop Moeller High School. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers in December 2005.

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a nonprofit professional society of over 17,000 members in 100 countries. The mission of AEE is “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for sustainable development.” AEE offers a full array of informational outreach programs including certification programs, conferences, journals, books, and training programs. AEE's network of 100 local chapters meets regularly to discuss regional issues.
