Liam Karr

Liam Karr serves as the Africa Team Lead and Salafi-Jihadi Analyst at the Critical Threats Project since September 2021 while also working as an Analyst at the American Enterprise Institute. Previously, Liam was a Middle East Collector-Analyst at the Institute for the Study of War for a short period in 2021. Earlier experiences include serving as Technical Director at Fighting Irish Media from August 2017 to May 2021 and an intern at the United States Senate's Homeland Security and Government Accountability Committee in 2020, which was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. Additionally, Liam interned at ResPublica, where responsibilities included conducting research and authoring content for policy campaigns. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, History, and Arabic from the University of Notre Dame and studies at the Qasid Arabic Institute in 2019.
