American Enterprise Institute
Xiyue Wang is a Jean Kirkpatrick fellow at the American Enterprise Institute since January 2021 and has been a Ph.D. candidate and researcher at Princeton University since 2016. Wang's research focuses on Eurasian history, Islam, and nationalism, with a notable experience of being arrested and incarcerated for approximately three and a half years in Tehran's Evin Prison while conducting archival research in Iran. In addition to research, Wang has worked as a preceptor at Princeton University, managing undergraduate discussion sessions and supervising student research projects. Prior to these roles, Wang held positions as a research analyst at Eurasia Capital and an interpreter for the International Committee of the Red Cross. Educational background includes a Ph.D. candidate role at Princeton University and degrees from Harvard University and the University of Washington.
