James Jones

James Jones has a diverse work experience in the insurance and financial industry. James started their career in 1993 as an Annuity Service Representative at American Life and Casualty. James then worked as a Compliance Analyst at the same company before moving on to Equitable of Iowa Companies, where they served as a Compliance Specialist. In 1996, they joined American Life and Casualty again, this time as a Compliance Analyst. Later that year, they moved to Interstate Assurance/First Variable, where they held various roles including Variable Service Representative and Senior Variable Service Representative. In 2000, they became the Manager of Variable New Business at the company. In 2001, they joined American Equity as a Director of Marketing Services and subsequently held multiple positions such as Asst. Vice President, Vice President, and Senior Vice President across different departments including Marketing Services, Annuity Services, and Annuity New Business. In December 2016, they were promoted to the position of Senior Vice President - Head of Facilities and Operations Support.

James Jones completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa from 1988 to 1992. In 2001 and 2002, they attended Dale Carnegie Training, where they completed the Dale Carnegie Course, focusing on Human Relation Skills.

Additionally, James Jones obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1997, they became a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) from LOMA. In 1999, they obtained the Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) certification from LOMA. In 2000, they obtained the Associate, Insurance Agency Administration (AIAA) certification from LOMA. In 2003, they earned the Associate, Annuity Products and Administration (AAPA) certification from LOMA. In 2012, they obtained the Professional, Customer Service (PCS) certification from LOMA. Finally, in 2016, James obtained the Associate, Secure Retirement Institute (ASRI) certification from LOMA.

Most recently, in November 2020, James Jones obtained the Facility Management Professional (FMP®) certification from IFMA.
