Kirk Serjeantson, MDes, MBA, PMP

Kirk Serjeantson has a strong and extensive work experience in the field of information technology and management. Kirk has held various leadership positions throughout their career, including as Vice President IT North America at American Expediting, North American Vice President IT at TForce Logistics, and Chief Information Officer at Arbor Memorial Inc. and Dicom Transportation Group Canada Inc.

At Arbor Memorial Inc., Kirk led a successful digital transformation by implementing an off-the-shelf Enterprise Planning System (ERP) and integrating custom software solutions. Kirk also developed a high-performing team, created a five-year plan, and played a key role in replacing the custom-built ERP system with a new, modern system.

During their tenure at Dicom Transportation Group Canada Inc., Kirk served as Chief Information Officer and built a high-performing IT team. Kirk advised the CEO to enhance company offerings and improve the customer experience. Kirk initiated efforts to transform the technical environment and developed new shipping systems, mobile programs, and architecture.

Prior to that, Kirk worked at Purolator Inc. where they held various roles, including Director of Technology Development. Kirk successfully managed operational technology systems, led the innovation team, and developed several patented solutions. Kirk also significantly increased revenue recovery and package induction, resulting in substantial financial gains for the company.

In their earlier career, Kirk served as National Operations Systems Manager at Loomis Express, where they gained valuable experience in managing national operations systems.

Kirk Serjeantson holds a Master's degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, which they pursued from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they completed their MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2010. In 2007, Kirk attended the Schulich School of Business - York University, where they completed the Purolator Leadership Program, focusing on leadership skills.

Kirk's education also includes certificates obtained from Humber College between 2001 and 2005. These certificates cover a range of subjects, including 3D Modeling and Animation, Website Programming and Design, Project Management, and Programming.

Earlier in their educational journey, Kirk completed a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Guelph in 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree, with a major in Kinesiology and Visual Arts, from Western University in 1994.

Furthermore, in 2004, Kirk obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, strengthening their expertise in effective project management.

Finally, prior to their tertiary education, Kirk attended GDHS from 1984 to 1989.
