American Family Fitness
Dorota Kawka is an experienced yoga instructor with over a decade of teaching at American Family Fitness and Woodlake Community Association, along with previous roles at YMCA of Greater Richmond. In addition to a strong background in yoga, Dorota has worked as a linguistic annotator for NUANCE COMMUNICATION, focusing on Polish/English speech recognition technology. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from the University of Lodz, a Yoga Teacher Training certification from Yoga Source, and a Certified Medical Coder designation from John Tyler Community College. Previous experience also includes roles as a substitute teacher supporting ESL classes and as a claim specialist at Fritz Companies.
