Taryn Colón

Taryn Colón, CPA, currently serves as the AVP of Investment Accounting & Reporting at American Fidelity, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Taryn was a Senior Audit Manager at KPMG US from October 2021 to September 2022, where management of engagement teams and advisory services on technical accounting issues were key responsibilities. Taryn's extensive experience at KPMG also includes roles as Audit Manager and Senior Audit Associate from October 2014 to September 2021. Earlier professional experiences include an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice and accounting positions with Rick Moore & Associates and Martha Wooton CPA. Taryn began the career in finance as a Credit Analyst and Cashier Supervisor at Mathis Brothers Furniture. Taryn holds a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma, obtained between 2008 and 2014.
