Phil Goldfeder has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 as an intern in the United States Senate. Phil then worked as a legislative aide in the New York City Council before becoming the Deputy Field Director for Bloomberg for Mayor 2005. Phil later joined the City of New York's Community Affairs Unit under Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

In 2009, Phil became the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for Senator Charles Schumer in the United States Senate. Phil then transitioned to the role of Member of Assembly in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. During this time, they also served as the Assistant Vice President for Government Relations at Yeshiva University.

In 2016, Phil co-founded OLPI, a nonprofit public policy organization focused on responsible innovation in online lending. Phil served as a Co-Founder and Board Member until 2021 and hosted the annual policy summit to facilitate dialogue between industry participants and policymakers.

From 2017 to 2023, Phil joined Cross River, a technology infrastructure provider for financial services, where they held various roles. Phil started as the VP of Government Affairs and then became the Senior Vice President of Global Public Affairs. In these positions, they oversaw strategic communications, public policy, government and community affairs, marketing, and corporate social responsibility.

Currently, Phil is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Fintech Council, a position they have held since 2023.
