Cara Dougherty

Cara Dougherty is an experienced professional in policy analysis and account management, currently serving as an Account Manager at the American Forest Foundation since April 2023, after previously holding the role of Account Coordinator. Prior experience includes working as a Policy Analyst and Policy Coordinator for the National Governors Association, with a focus on energy and environmental issues from May 2021 to December 2022. Cara has contributed to academic research as a Dana Research Assistant at Dickinson College and completed a fellowship at eStreet Group. An internship in government relations was held at the Delaware River Port Authority in 2018. Cara Dougherty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Dickinson College (2017-2021) and has participated in programs at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars in 2019.
