Brian Kittler

VP, Forest Restoration at American Forests

Brian Kittler is an experienced professional in forest restoration and environmental policy, currently serving as the Lead for Resilient Forests at American Forests since December 2019, overseeing the forest restoration program. Prior roles include Vice President and Senior Director of Forest Restoration at American Forests, where Brian led initiatives across the Western United States. As Forest Program Director at Sustainable Northwest, Brian advanced innovative solutions for forest resilience and economic opportunity. Brian also directed the Western Regional Office at the Pinchot Institute for Conservation and held positions with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Program, focusing on program development, grant management, and regulatory compliance. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy and Anthropology from Colby College and a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
