Rebecca Turner has an extensive work experience starting from 1997. Rebecca began their career as a Marketing Coordinator at Island Press and worked there for a year. In 2000, they joined The Keystone Center as a Mediator, where they stayed for five years. In 2010, they joined American Forests as the Director of Forest Policy and later held roles of Senior Director of Public Policy and Senior Director of Programs and Policy. Their most recent role at American Forests was as the Chief Strategy Officer, which they began in July 2018.
Rebecca Turner has an extensive education history focusing on environmental law and conservation. Rebecca completed their Juris Doctor degree in Environmental Law at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) degree with a concentration in Environmental Law and Policy from Yale School of the Environment. Rebecca's undergraduate studies were completed at the University of New Hampshire, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Conservation.
In terms of certifications, Rebecca is a member of the Colorado Bar, having been admitted by the Colorado State Supreme Court in October 2010. Additionally, they are also a member of the Massachusetts Bar, having been admitted by the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers in December 2009. These certifications demonstrate their legal competence and eligibility to practice law in both Colorado and Massachusetts.
