American Friends of Canadian Conservation

American Friends is a US 501(c)(3) organization that partners with Canadian conservation organizations and Americans who are passionate about protecting Canada's natural and cultural heritage. We achieve our mission by facilitating gifts of high priority Canadian land (and interests, such as conservation easements) owned by US taxpayers. The organization is a member of the Land Trust Alliance and operates in compliance with LTA's Standards + Practices. American Friends also increases financial support for conservation in Canada by accepting contributions of cash, securities and other gifts that are tax deductible in the US. To date, we have made >$4M USD in grants to our qualified Canadian partners thanks to the generosity of US taxpayers.
