Magen David Adom is Israel’s national paramedic and Red Cross service. A leader in mass-casualty response and in EMS technology, Magen David Adom (MDA) treats and transports nearly 1 million people to hospitals every year, collects, safety tests, and distributes nearly all the blood to Israel’s hospitals, and, through its affiliation with the Red Cross movement, responds to disasters around the world. 

American Friends of Magen David Adom strives to make MDA one of the best-known causes within the American Jewish community, and among the best-known Israeli organizations in the Christian and American communities in general. Leveraging that brand equity, AFMDA seeks to raise increasing amounts of revenue to support MDA's lifesaving activities in Israel and around the world.

The Development and Philanthropy team at American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) focuses on raising awareness and funds within the American Jewish community and wider American society to support MDA's lifesaving activities. This team manages donor relations, strategic philanthropy, development projects, and grant research to ensure a continuous stream of financial support. They also work on major gift solicitation and donor engagement to strengthen connections and boost contributions for MDA's emergency medical services and disaster response initiatives globally.
