Pamela Nadler Emmerich has a successful work history, with experience in various prestigious organizations. Pamela served as the President for the American Friends of the Hebrew University since May 2023, and previously held the role of President- New York Region since 2016. Pamela also worked at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) as a D.H.L. Candidate starting in September 2017. Pamela Nadler Emmerich has a diverse education history. Pamela first attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1974, studying at the Rothberg School for Overseas Students. From 1975 to 1978, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Judaic Studies at McGill University. Afterward, they attended the University of Toronto from 1978 to 1981, where they obtained their LL.B. degree. In 1983 and 1984, Pamela pursued further education at Columbia Law School, earning their LL.M. degree. Most recently, from 2014 to 2017, they studied at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and received a Master of Arts (MA) degree with a focus on Bible/Biblical Studies.

American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) was founded in 1925 by the American business and philanthropist, Felix M. Warburg.
