Libby Chase

Civic Space Global Initiative Program Coordinator at American Friends Service Committee

Libby Chase is a dedicated professional currently serving as the Civic Space Global Initiative Program Coordinator at the American Friends Service Committee since September 2020. In this role, Libby manages multiple country projects across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, focusing on the advancement of civil liberties and the protection of civic space. Prior to this position, Libby contributed as an International Programs Fellow and as an Intern Project Coordinator for the 'Under the Mask' project, which addresses the closure of civic space globally. Previously, Libby gained experience in customer service as bar staff at the Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival. Libby holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Development from the University of Sussex and has studied Political Science at the University of Copenhagen.
