Lasonia Landry

Senior Vice President Development & Community Health at American Heart Association

LaSonia Landry has an extensive and diverse work experience. LaSonia began their career as an Assistant Program Director at The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi in 2004. In 2006, they worked as a Health Teacher at Oxon Hill High School. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Sr. Educational Programs Manager at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. In 2011, they joined Inova Health System as a Program Manager for Childbirth Education, and in 2013, they also worked briefly as an Adjunct Instructor at Northern Virginia Community College. LaSonia then joined the American Heart Association in 2015 as a Community Health Director, where they led community health needs assessments and drove corporate engagement strategies. LaSonia later took on the role of Executive Director/Vice President, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Development & Community Health.

LaSonia Landry's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Promotion from The University of Southern Mississippi. LaSonia also holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Health Administration and Policy from the same university. Additionally, LaSonia Landry has obtained a certification in the Black Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company in 2021.
