Previously, Sarah has held roles such as Assistant Managing Editor at the University of Cincinnati Press and Associate Features Editor at Lady Science Magazine. With a Master's Degree in History from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from Texas Tech University, Sarah has experience in academic writing, editorial work, and student recruitment.

The American Historical Association is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1884 and incorporated by Congress in 1889 for the promotion of historical studies.
