Shari Dexter

Shari Dexter is an accomplished political affairs professional with extensive experience in healthcare political action committees (PACs) and fundraising. As the Senior Director for Political Affairs at the American Hospital Association since 2011, Shari launched the Protect the Heroes campaign, successfully raising $500K for COVID-related hospital needs and manages one of the largest healthcare PACs in the U.S., generating $2.3M annually. Previously, Shari served as Associate Director for Political Affairs at the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, where fundraising efforts reached $1.5M per election cycle. Additional experience includes political consulting, PAC administration, and leadership roles in special projects. Shari holds a Master's degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland, alongside a certificate in PAC and Grassroots Management from the Public Affairs Council.
