Stacey Chappell

Stacey Chappell has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Stacey began their career in 2001 as an intern for Congressman Ron Kind. Stacey then worked as a scheduler for Congressman Bill Luther in 2002. In 2003, they joined Alliant Energy as a Federal Affairs Specialist, where they researched and analyzed federal energy legislation and managed the company's grassroots website. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as an External Affairs Representative for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, where they researched and analyzed federal banking and housing legislation.

In 2008, Stacey joined the American Dental Hygienists' Association as the Manager of Governmental Affairs. In this role, they managed legislative efforts in multiple states, developed key messages for policy initiatives, and oversaw the association's political action committee (PAC). Stacey then became the Acting Director of Governmental Affairs in 2012, where they maintained relationships with stakeholders, advised leadership on public policy issues, and managed the government affairs department.

In 2013, Stacey joined the American Hospital Association as a Sr. Communications Specialist. Stacey oversaw advocacy communications and media relations, developed a grassroots advocacy website, and streamlined the association's internal elections process. From 2015 to 2020, they served as the Associate Director of Advocacy and Media Relations for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, leading communication strategies, external relations, and advocacy efforts.

Currently, Stacey holds the position of Director of Advocacy and External Communications for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. In this role, they lead the organization's communications strategy, prepares executive leadership and the Board of Directors for various engagements, and oversaw the development of a COVID-19 Insight Study on Nursing Leadership and the associated communications strategy.

Stacey Chappell obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Marquette University in the years 1998 to 2002. Stacey also earned a Certificate in PAC and Grassroots Management from the Public Affairs Council in the year 2017.
