Mohamed Salem

Mohamed Salem, MD, MHSE, FACC has a diverse work experience in the field of cardiology. Mohamed is currently working as an Interventional Cardiologist at Lehigh Valley Health Network since 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at American Hospital Dubai, including Chief Outreach & Satellite Clinics, Assistant Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine, starting from 2013. During the same period, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Healthcare Systems Engineering at Lehigh University, which they completed in 2018. Previously, they worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at Coordinated Health from 2012 to 2013 and as an Associate Interventional Cardiology at Guthrie Clinic, PA, USA from 2010 to 2012. Mohamed began their career at St Luke's University Hospital & Network in Bethlehem, PA, USA as an Interventional Cardiologist from 2003 to 2010. Dr. Salem's experience spans both clinical practice and leadership roles, demonstrating their expertise in the field.

Mohamed Salem, MD, MHSE, FACC holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Ain Shams University, which they obtained from 1989 to 1994. Mohamed then pursued further education and completed a Master's degree in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Lehigh University between 2013 and 2018. In 2020 to 2021, they attended MIT Sloan School of Management for studies in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care. Additionally, they also completed medical training at NorthShore - LIJ Health System, NYU- Albert Einstein School of medicine from 1999 to 2003 and Nassau University Medical Center, SUNY at Stony Brook from 1996 to 1999.
