Karen Cheung has a diverse work experience that spans across various companies and roles. Karen began their career in 2001 at Rockefeller University Press as a Supervising Manuscript Coordinator. In 2006, they joined Harrison and Star as an Assistant Account Executive and worked their way up to become a Senior Account Executive. Karen also had multiple roles at Harrison and Star, including Account Supervisor and Account Executive. In 2011, Karen worked as an Account Supervisor at LLNS Healthcare Communications. In 2012, they worked as a Freelance Account Supervisor at Harrison and Star, a Freelance Producer at Cloudberry Creative, and a Freelancer | Production and Operations Manager at Virtuoso Healthcare Communications. Karen then joined the American Indian College Fund in 2013, where they initially served as an Individual Giving Officer and later became the Director of Marketing in 2016.

Karen Cheung attended the University of Maryland from 1996 to 2001, where they pursued two simultaneous degree programs. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in British and American Literature and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physiology and Neurobiology.

The American Indian College Fund invests in Native students and tribal college education to transform lives and communities. We have one unwavering purpose – increasing the number of American Indians who hold college degrees. Currently only 14% of American Indians have a college degree – less than half the national average.
