Mission: Empower and enhance the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental wellbeing of American Indian families and other underserved populations in SE MI through culturally grounded health and family services.

Vision: AIHFS will be nationally recognized as a leading Urban Indian health and community center supporting healthy Native people, families, and communities.

The Healthcare Services Team at American Indian Health & Family Services is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and behavioral health care to the Native American community in Southeastern Michigan. This multidisciplinary team collaborates to deliver culturally relevant services, blending traditional Native healing practices with modern medicine, while focusing on prevention and holistic well-being for families and individuals. They also oversee specialized programs, such as the Healthy Start initiative and the Sacred Bundle Project, to further support community health and resilience.
