American INSIGHT, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that harnesses the power in each of us to safeguard the values of free speech, human rights and the rule of law.

Our non-partisan mission to promote the history and values of Free Speech, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law, and to empower students to use their voice to discuss how these values emerge in societies around the world through the lens of independent filmmakers.

Our vision is to cultivate a culture of participation and advocacy by reinforcing the importance of Reciprocal Liberty  as a cornerstone of Democracy.

Through its programs that include an annual Free Speech Film Festival and Free Speech Award Ceremony, self-guided online course Make History Every Day!, an 800 year Free Speech Storyline, and an ongoing Internship Program, American INSIGHT champions leadership in self-expression, the Rule of Law, the best practices of filmmaking, and the history of Free Speech.
