Karl Schnelle

Karl Schnelle is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and holding the position of CAST Division Chair since 2016, Karl Schnelle has also contributed significantly to Corteva as the R&D Operational Excellence Leader from October 2017 to November 2021 and led global strategies at Dow AgroSciences from January 2008 to October 2017. Karl Schnelle's career began at DuPont as a Process/Production Engineer from 1984 to 1987, followed by a lengthy tenure at Dow AgroSciences, serving as a Senior Scientist until 2007. An active member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Karl Schnelle held various leadership roles, including CAST Division Secretary/Treasurer from 2006 to 2013. Karl Schnelle earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, a BE in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and participated in a semester abroad in Liberal Arts at the University of Copenhagen, along with completing high school at Montgomery Bell Academy.
