Amber Bloomfield

Amber Bloomfield has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Their most recent position is as a Senior Data Scientist at the American Institutes for Research, where they have been working since 2019. Prior to this, they held various positions at the University of Maryland, including Lecturer, Data Scientist, Associate Research Scientist, and Assistant Faculty Researcher, between 2009 and 2019. Before joining the University of Maryland, Amber worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at DePaul from 2007 to 2009. Their earliest recorded role is as a User Experience Professional at Perceptive Sciences, Corp. from 2005 to 2007.

Amber Bloomfield obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, spanning from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Cognitive Psychology at Northwestern University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Amber has acquired several certifications. In February 2018, they completed a Data Science and Data Engineering Bootcamp and received a Certificate of Completion from Data Science Dojo. Furthermore, in December 2022, they obtained two certifications related to Diversity Recruiting and promoting equitable hiring from LinkedIn.
