Bruce Maki has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions and research organizations. Bruce started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University at Buffalo in 2015. Bruce then joined Erie Community College as an Adjunct Professor from 2015 to 2019. In 2016, they became an Assistant Professor at Trocaire College and held this position until 2020. During this time, they also worked as an Adjunct Biology Instructor at Ashland University from 2020 to 2021. In 2017, they became an Adjunct Professor at Daemen University, where they are currently employed. In 2020, they also joined the American Institutes for Research, initially as a Content Editor and later promoted to Senior Content Editor.
Bruce Maki completed their education in a chronological order. From 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Rochester and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience and Mathematics. Following that, from 2009 to 2015, they enrolled at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience.
In addition to their educational background, Bruce Maki also obtained two certifications. In May 2023, they received the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, in February 2023, they completed a Leadership: Practical Skills course from LinkedIn.
