Chrishantha Thuriyasena

Chrishantha Thuriyasena is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in managing information technology and web development. Currently serving as an IT Purchasing & Executive Specialist at the American Institutes for Research since June 2014, Chrishantha oversees the software and subscription life cycle and conducts price negotiations with major vendors. Prior experience includes working as a Government Consultant for the DC Government, where in-depth data analyses were performed to verify funding eligibility, and serving as an Information Administrator at the Embassy of Sri Lanka, managing IT operations and website maintenance. Earlier roles include designing and maintaining websites for various industries at The Bivings Group and assisting in web development management at the British American Security Information Council. Chrishantha holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from the University of the District of Columbia.
