Kathy McKinless

Kathy McKinless is a retired audit partner from KPMG LLP and the current chair of AIR’s Audit Board Committee.

During her 28-year career, she worked with clients in several industries, including financial services, real estate, and insurance, as well as universities, research organizations, and other non-profits. After retiring from KPMG, she spent 15 years as a part-time financial advisor to the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.

Throughout her career and retirement years, McKinless has volunteered with many non-profit organizations. She was on the board of directors of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital, serving as its treasurer for six years and as president for three years. She is still a member of the Women’s Advisory board and camps with high school girls at Camp CEO each year.

McKinless also served on numerous boards and committees, including The Nonprofit Roundtable, Leadership Washington, City First Bank, Home Care Partners and Catholic Charities U.S.A. She currently serves on boards of directors of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land and the Diocese of Arlington and volunteers at the St. Lucy Project Food Pantry.

McKinless has a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
