Instructional Design Specialist at American Institutes for Research

Kaylee Boyer has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Kaylee began their career as a Science Teacher in the Olentangy Local School District in 2012, where they earned the Teacher of the Year award in the 2020-2021 school year. During their time as a Science Teacher, Kaylee implemented differentiated instruction using instructional technology and innovative strategies to meet the needs of their students.

In 2014, Kaylee took on the role of Science Department Chair, where they led a team of science teachers, facilitated weekly meetings, managed curriculum revisions, and oversaw the hiring process for new teachers. Kaylee also developed efficient systems for budget tracking and piloted district-wide initiatives to align science curriculum and skills.

In 2015, Kaylee expanded their role within the Olentangy Local School District and became the District Professional Development Leader. In this position, they developed a practical training program focused on innovative instructional technology for grades 7-12 teachers. Kaylee created and facilitated ten trainings that emphasized the use of instructional technology to enhance engagement, learner agency, and assessment analytics. Additionally, Kaylee prepared training materials, including guides, summaries, videos, and presentations.

In 2018, Kaylee took on an additional role as a Resident Educator Mentor, providing guidance and support to new educators in the district. Kaylee continued this position until 2022, when they transitioned to the role of Senior Content Manager at Trintech.

During their time at Trintech, which began in 2022, Kaylee developed and maintained onboarding programs for the global sales organization using Articulate software. Kaylee managed course assignments and learner progress on a learning management system and utilized their knowledge of learning theory and industry best practices to improve curricula and course formats.

Most recently, Kaylee joined the American Institutes for Research in 2023 as an Instructional Design Specialist. Further details about this role are not provided.

Kaylee Boyer earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Adolescent, Young Adult Education from The University of Toledo, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at Bowling Green State University, completing the program from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Boyer obtained a certification in 7-12 Science Education in Chemistry/Life Science and Physics/Earth Science from the Ohio Department of Education in March 2021.
