Kylie Klein has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Kylie is currently employed as a Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Research, Accountability, and Data at Evanston/Skokie School District 65 from October 2018 to November 2021. From March 2016 to October 2018, Kylie served as the Director of Research Operations at the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research, where they were responsible for various areas including systems and process development, operational management, and fiscal planning. Before that, they worked at Chicago Public Schools, where they held multiple roles including Research Manager from August 2012 to March 2016, Manager of Access and Opportunities from October 2010 to August 2012, and LRE Analyst from June 2006 to September 2010. Kylie began their career as a 3rd Grade Teacher, Teach for America Corps Member at PS 8 in Paterson Public Schools from September 2002 to June 2004, where they excelled in planning lessons, managing the classroom, and raising student achievement.

Kylie Klein's education history includes a variety of degrees and certifications. Kylie began their academic journey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1997 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Japanese and another Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2000, they participated in a study abroad program at Nanzan University, focusing on Japanese Studies and Economics.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Kylie went on to pursue a Master of Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago from 2004 to 2006. Their field of study during this time was Education Policy Analysis. Later, in 2011 to 2013, they attended Dominican University to earn a Master's in Education Administration, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration, General.

Additionally, Kylie obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Kylie acquired a Professional Educator License for Administrator from the Illinois State Board of Education in June 2013. In the same month and year, they also obtained the qualification of a Qualified Teacher Evaluator, certified by IL PERA and CPS REACH. Furthermore, they hold a Teacher certification for grades K to 8 obtained from the State of New Jersey in August 2002.
