Sara Alhassani

Research Assistant at American Institutes for Research

Sara Alhassani has a diverse work experience in various academic and professional settings. Sara started their career as a Staff Member at Regal from August 2017 to March 2019. Later, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at George Mason University, contributing to gerontology research and co-authoring a manuscript from August 2019 to March 2021.

In 2021, Sara joined George Mason University again, this time as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Sara worked on the Detailed Emissions in Virginia (DEVA) Research Study, helping develop a pollution emissions inventory for policymakers to address air pollution exposure inequity. Sara used their literature research and review skills, as well as their proficiency in R programming, to develop an Atkinson Index model.

Furthermore, Sara served as a Student Office Assistant at George Mason University, where they provided customer service and administrative support to students seeking help from the LEAD team.

In 2019, Sara started working at Target as a Customer Service Advocate/Cash Office, and they continued their role until December 2021.

Most recently, Sara joined the American Institutes for Research as a Research Assistant in June 2022.

Sara Alhassani pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from George Mason University from 2019 to 2022.
