Sinan Yavuz

Sinan Yavuz has extensive work experience in research and project-based roles. They began their career as a Research Assistant at Siirt University, where they were responsible for computer labs and worked as an exam supervisor. They then worked as a Research Assistant at ODTü, focusing on biotechnology and gaining experience in the Biomaterial Lab. In 2012, Sinan became a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University, where they advised master students, gave lectures to teachers, and presented research topics internationally. During this time, they attended conferences and workshops on measurement and statistics. In 2017, Sinan joined the Wisconsin Center for Education Research as a Project Assistant, contributing as a data analyst. They also worked as a Project Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they were involved in various research projects and gained expertise in R programming and data analysis. Sinan completed a visiting research scholar program at the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, auditing courses and engaging in research projects on missing data analyses and longitudinal data analyses. They later joined the American Institutes for Research, first as a Researcher Intern, and in 2021, as a Researcher. Sinan's work experience demonstrates their strong research skills and expertise in quantitative methods and educational psychology.

Sinan Yavuz has an extensive education history. From 2021 to 2024, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they completed a Master of Science - MS in Educational Psychology at the same university.

Before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sinan Yavuz obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Educational Assessment, Testing, and Measurement from Hacettepe University. From 2011 to 2012, they took Master's degree courses in Biotechnology at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University. Sinan also attended Aarhus University as an Erasmus Student in 2008 and 2009, studying Molecular Biology.

In their earlier years, Sinan Yavuz studied at Gazi University from 2004 to 2009, obtaining both an undergraduate degree and a non-thesis Master's degree in Biology Teacher Education. Prior to university, they completed their high school education at Bornova Anadolu Lisesi (İzmir Koleji) from 2000 to 2004.

Additionally, Sinan Yavuz has a certification from EF Education First in EFSET Quick English Check, with a score of Advanced/Proficient (CEFR C1/C2).
