Tamara Linkow

Senior Director, Education Evaluation at American Institutes for Research

Tamara Linkow has extensive experience in the field of education evaluation and policy research. Tamara is currently serving as a Senior Director of Education Evaluation at American Institutes for Research since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Abt Associates where they held various roles including Principal Associate from June 2019 to January 2023, Senior Associate from June 2015 to June 2019, Associate from June 2012 to May 2015, and Senior Analyst from July 2011 to June 2012. Before joining Abt Associates, they worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy from August 2008 to May 2011. Tamara also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Harvard University, Center for Education Policy Research from 2007 to 2008 and at Campaign for Educational Equity, Teachers College Columbia University from 2005 to 2008.

Tamara Linkow earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Skidmore College, from 1998 to 2002. Tamara then proceeded to Columbia University, where they obtained their Master of Arts degree in Quantitative Methods for the Social Sciences between 2003 and 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Politics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, from 2004 to 2008.
