Teerachat Techapaisarnjaroenkij has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Since 2021, they have been working as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research. Prior to this, they worked at IMPAQ International from 2013, where they held the position of Research Economist. In this role, they were responsible for defining economic and public policy research questions, performing empirical analysis, managing data, and developing econometric/statistical software codes. From 2008 to 2013, Teerachat worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Researcher at the University of Chicago-UTCC Research Center from 2006 to 2007. Before transitioning into research, Teerachat held engineering positions at Thai Polycarbonate Co., Ltd. as a Senior Process Engineer from 2002 to 2007, and at Siam Strip Mill Co as a Research & Development Engineer from 2000 to 2002.

Teerachat Techapaisarnjaroenkij holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics from the University of Missouri, which was obtained between 2007 and 2013. Prior to that, Teerachat completed a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Economics from Ramkhamhaeng University, from 2004 to 2006. Teerachat's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, which was attained from 1997 to 2000. Additionally, Teerachat has obtained multiple certifications from the CFA Institute, including passing the Level III exam in May 2021, Level II in June 2018, and Level I in December 2017.
